7 week handbuilding and throwing course - £225.00pp

This course is a great all round introduction for working with clay. Over the weeks we will explore hand building techniques including pinch, coiling and slab building, as well as adding surface texture and detailing. We will also complete 3 weeks of wheel work where you will learn to throw cylinders, bowls, turning and how to pull handles. By the end of the course you will have a selection of beautiful handmade ceramics to take home with you. The use of clay, tools equipment and underglaze/glaze/oxides. All you will need to bring is yourselves and trimmed nails. I recommend wearing old clothes and shoes that you don’t love (aprons are provided).

Please note: This course runs for 7 weeks within an 8 week period with a break between weeks 6 & 7 to allow your pieces to dry before you return to decorate them in your final week using colourful underglazes, oxides and glaze.

Cancellations and Refunds: If you are unable to attend one of the sessions, you can choose to book an additional self-directed session via the website. Self-directed sessions run on Thursdays from 16:00-20:00 for the fee of £20 per two hours. Please note these sessions are not taught although I will be on hand to ask any burning questions.

I am only able to keep your work for a maximum of two months after collection emails have been sent due to space restrictions, so please do ensure you get in touch as soon as possible to arrange collections/postage.
